This peaceful but magical village called Villards-d’Héria

The plain Where Lons-le-Saunier lies is most wrapped up in fog and covered with heavy frost in the morning. Then by the end of the morning, a weak sun starts shining…. intermittently.
But in the Haut Jura, it is a different matter: as soon as one reaches Villards-d’Heria, one discovers fields of heavy snow and ice.
The village ( about 400 inhabitants) is known for its big bridge crossing the deep valley where the village is nestled.
For its archeological discoveries also ( of an ancient sanctuary)
And for its cute picturesque lake « Le Lac d’Antre)
